This is a hike where you will experience several types of Norwegian landscapes such as cultivated landscapes, dense forests, wet marshlands, natural rivers, traditional hiking paths, and alpine landscapes above the tree line. The guide will tell you about how people lived traditionally in the village and how they live now. The guide will also offer you tastes of locally produced food.

The hike consists of four parts: 

  • Visit to an old summer pasture farm! 
  • Hike to a secret small, beautiful waterfall! 
  • Hike to above the tree line for a view and to taste local food for lunch! 
  • Hike back and visit a farm where we will feed the sheep! 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

WATER RESISTANT OR WATERPROOF FOOTWEAR IS REQUIRED, EVEN IF THE WEATHER IS NICE, SINCE PARTS OF THE ROUTE GOES THROUGH WET TERRAIN. 

THE ABILITY TO WALK IN UNEVEN TERRAIN ON SMALL FOREST AND MOUNTAIN TRAILS IS NECESSARY. ALSO, PARTS OF THE ROUTE ARE QUITE STEEP. 

THE WHOLE HIKE TAKES FOUR TO FIVE HOURS, INCLUDING BREAKS AND ACTIVITIES. TOTAL DISTANCE HIKED IS ABOUT 5 KILOMETERS.
